This has been an incredibly busy and productive week for the game. I've been burning away at all the loose threads in order to get the game in a finished and polished state for the game showcase next week. There's a whole laundry list of updates this week so I'll list them below and talk about the key bits.
The Bomb Bat monster is finally fully implemented!
In-game tutorial/"Reminders" to help new players. Can be turned off in settings
Main Menu got overhauled
You can request Monsters as the Monster's Advocate
Khordaldrum has a lot more details now
Khordaldrum now has magic barriers built in
Slime Warriors now have some transparency
UI got some new sprites
Confirmation menu appears when leaving mid game to confirm
Pause menu received overhaul with main menu
Game logo finally updated/finished
Splash screen added to main menu
Cursor textures had resolution decreased
Throne FINALLY has proper sprites
Commanders have icon above head when issuing commands
Commander Commands updated so Retreat and Fight are useful/usable
Annoying freecam bug finally fixed
I am very happy with the overall state of the game. The only truly incomplete portions of the game are the end game screen and the units index page on the main menu as well as a credit page. These, however, are primarily visual upgrades needed and most of the actually coding left are some minor bugs as well as a few small features I'd like to add before the showcase. Enjoy a full game from the perspective of the Human Defender!
