This week was a bit frustrating, but I am proud of the work done. Unfortunately I wasn't able to work on the project as much as I would like due to other classwork. However, I have managed to get the core of the unit AI nailed down so we can now get a look at how a - very accelerated, mind you - game might look like. The AI isn't very smart yet and the game just kind of hangs once the final crystal is destroyed, but the units are moving on their own and doing stuff! It's very exciting for me!
I have managed to get the start of the next unit drawn up: the Mage unit. They'll be the most complicated human unit as they'll end up with 3 different spells they can cast!
Next week the only real programming I have scheduled is to refine the core gameplay loop. Due to the way I have setup the AI for now, the code to manage the game will actually be far less intensive than originally planned meaning I'll have more time to catch up and finish what I'm behind on!
