This week saw some good progress on the game! First off, I drew up (most) of 3 new units: the Mage, Juggernaut, and Bomb Bat units! The Mage will have access to 3 different spells (a Barrier, a Healing aura, and an AOE Damage spell), the Juggernaut is high health and when it dies it will spew out baby versions of itself, and the Bomb Bat will fly in from above and dive-bomb the unsuspecting humans. The new units aren't quite finished as each of them is missing some aspect in either art and/or coding, but I'll be able to finish them soon.
The other main development is the game almost has a completely playable gameplay cycle now. There's a main menu that can take you into the game where human units are randomly generated around the keep. Then, randomized Monster Waves with slowly increasing number count begin spawning and approaching the keep from both sides. The only core aspects missing so far is the in-game timer to track how long you've survived as well as actually ending the game once the final Mana Crystal is destroyed, but those will come!
